Lili Xu is in the final stages of completing her PhD in Computer Science. She has worked in the DICE lab directed by Dr. Apon in the school of computing at Clemson University in the USA. Lili has completed three internships with the HPCC Systems team, working on machine learning applications. Her research area is machine learning, natural language processing and high performance computing. 

More information about her intern projects is available and also posters illustrating her work which she entered into our HPCC Systems poster contest. She spoke about her most recent project during one of our Tech Talk webcasts and presented about her work at our 2018 HPCC Systems Community Day Summit, alongside our LexisNexis colleague, Gus Reyna. We are pleased that Lili has join the team as a LexisNexis employee.

Brian has been with LexisNexis and other RELX Group companies since 2008.  He is presently based in London and serves as an HPCC Systems Development Consultant at Proagrica, the RELX Group business applying Data and Analytics to Agriculture. His long software development career includes work with AT&T Bell Laboratories, Motorola, Citadel Investment Group, and Lockheed-Martin. For more than a decade he led a data engineering team that provided data science based fraud detection and analysis solutions to several of the top 20 property and casualty insurance companies in the United States.

Brian has been an active HPCC Systems user since 2010, has worked on a number of HPCC Systems proof-of-concepts and projects and has contributed to the HPCC Systems Open Source Project. His most recent experience includes a year embedded with Elsevier’s Big Data group, leading the technical aspects of an entity resolution project using HPCC Systems, and extensive experience optimizing HPCC Systems environments within Amazon’s AWS ecosystem.
