There are two channels you can use:
- #hpcc-dev at irc.freenode.net. This is the development IRC channel used by the HPCC Systems platform development team.
- #hpcc-gsoc at irc.freenode.net. This channel has been setup specifically for students who want to discuss projects with mentors.
It doesn't really matter which channel you use but be aware that the development channel can get quite busy. We recommend that students use the GSoC channel to make sure your questions and comments are seen by mentors who will be looking there for students needing help and advice with GSoC projects.
