Deprecated warnings from ldap code

Description

When compiling on OSX I get many warnings from the LDAP code about the use of deprecated functions.

Note - there are so many of these (because it comes from a header file) that it can severely slow down compilations on OSX - if they could be removed form the header at least it would stop me cursing several times a day...
