Description
This is a 2021 Intern Project mentored by and . Details below from the proposal:
Create types, and logical files to connect the covid19.hpccsystems.com to the ECL data lake. Using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, and ECL to effectively track and report the progressive spread of Covid-19.
Providing data and demonstrating weekly and monthly trends to support the Research community. During the Summer 2021 internship, I expect to add additional services and features to this Covid19 project and to learn a great deal more about managing data ingested in the HPCC System database and Machine Learning.
Create new interactive features for the map interface using TypeScript and JavaScript tools. Adding a “my location” plot, that will center the user’s view on the new location node to provide a view that is helpful to the user.
View the tool as a line(Euclidean Distance Vs. Path Distanc) Illustrating distance to the nearest hospitals, color coded by the hospital’s risk quotient. This would be done by adding a L4 data set to HPCC data pools, creating types specifically for the user’s coordinates
Build out on the previous L4 database work, researching and creating the API & JavaScripting to view pathing to destinations.
Create a heavy tool tip system, triggered onHover or onMouseOver for the user to view risk quotients, hospital data, and populations for each line from the new and old datasets.
Separate this data feature from the rest of the map, to be viewed on a separate port of this web app for clarity and usability.
