Investigate Third Party Environments Working with the HPCC Systems

This project is available as a student work experience opportunity with HPCC Systems. Curious about other projects we are offering? Take a look at our Ideas List.

Student work experience opportunities also exist for students who want to suggest their own project idea. Project suggestions must be relevant to HPCC Systems and of benefit to our open source community.

Project Description

Nowadays there are a number of third party environments that can be used with the HPCC Systems Cloud Native Platform to better fulfill the growing big data needs from customers and organizations. This is a research/investigative project involving choosing one or more third party products of your choice and evaluating how well they work with our cloud native platform. There are a number to choose from and below are just some examples (Azure related solutions are preferred):

The following requirements must be considered:

  • The third party environment should have a sound use case to justify its integration with HPCC Systems (be sure to highlight the use case in your proposal).

  • It is expected that the student interested in working on this project idea already possess a significant knowledge on the third party environment of your choice.

Completion of this project involves:

  • A functional and documented integration between HPCC Systems and a third party environment of your choice.

  • A complete GitHub project with code and documentation.

  • A blog, a recorded presentation, and a poster artifact about your project (see examples from previous years here).
