Nikhil is currently in his first year, studying Computer Science Engineering at RVCE in Bengaluru. His interests lie in technology, science, coding, geopolitics and overall self-growth. He hopes to continue to work with HPCC Systems again many times in the future.

Introduction:

The banking and credit card sector plays a vital role in the financial landscape of any country, serving as a backbone for economic growth and consumer transactions. In the United States, this sector is particularly dynamic and diverse, with numerous financial institutions and a wide range of credit card offerings. Understanding the intricacies and patterns within this sector can provide valuable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and consumers alike.

Objective:

Provide an insightful analysis of the banking and credit card sector in US states, supporting stakeholders in making informed decisions and optimizing business strategies. Promote consumer protection by identifying potential challenges or risks. Better understanding of the overall financial landscape in the United States, particularly within the banking and credit card sector, by leveraging the HPCC Systems platform to process and analyse large volumes of financial data.

Methodology:

The project can be accomplished by spraying obtained data onto the cluster, such as financial transactions, credit card usage, interest rates, consumer preferences & complaints, and so on. Determine the association between credit card expenditure and income levels, as well as the impact of interest rates on loan default rates, using relevant statistical approaches such as correlation, covariance, aggregate functions, transform functions. States and banks will be scored on the basis of these parameters to determine scope of performance. Machine learning algorithms can be used to build predictive models, cluster customers based on behavior, and so on. The visualization bundle is used for presenting the results.
